OPG IN THE COMMUNITY
OPG believes that being a good corporate citizen means giving back to the communities that host our facilities. We are making a difference by improving the quality of life in those communities through support of community health and safety; arts and culture; humanitarian and local causes and youth amateur sports initiatives. We are absolutely committed to strengthening our relationships with the communities we serve.
OPG has provided over $3 million to more than 1,300 initiatives in our host communities between 2002 and 2004. This support included annual contributions to the United Way and festive season contributions to over 35 food banks across our site communities. We have also given support to 270 health and safety organizations, 520 youth amateur sports organizations, 240 arts and cultural institutions as well as 270 local community events and humanitarian initiatives.
