Lambton GS in the Community
Located along the St. Clair River in St. Clair Township, south of Sarnia, OPG’s Lambton Generating Station (GS) has been a part of the local community for over 35 years.
The Lambton GS is making a positive difference in the region, and has supported more than 140 not-for-profit initiatives in Sarnia, Courtright, Corunna, Mooretown, Petrolia, Chatham and Wallaceburg.
Since 2002 Lambton GS has been helping energize more than 65 local youth amateur sports initiatives in hockey, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, gymnastics and swimming.
Thanks to a $100,000 donation from Lambton GS, Ducks Unlimited Canada’s wetland restoration at the Sileno C. Corsini / Pigeon Marsh was completed. This internationally significant wetland provides habitat for 700 plants and 200 bird species.
