In 2007, OPG received the Canadian Electricity Association’s Silver President’s Award of Excellence in recognition of two consecutive years of top quartile employee safety performance.

2007 Corporate Habitat of the Year Award

In November 2007, OPG's Pickering Nuclear station received the prestigious 2007 Corporate Habitat of the Year Award from the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC). Pickering Nuclear was judged the best of the 105 sites that received WHC re-certification in 2007.

In October 2007 Ontario Power Generation was recognized as being one of the top 100 employers in Canada. The ranking appeared in Maclean's Magazine and the Toronto Star.

Awarded to OPG Nuclear's Nick van Den Brekel, for excellence and dedication in providing exceptional value in the development and advancement of standards in the nuclear program.

Grand Erie Training and Adjustment Board "Champion Employer Award"
Awarded to Nanticoke GS for its outstanding contribution to high-school students' workplace learning.

Electrical & Utilities Safety Association's (E&USA) "Gold Award"
Awarded to OPG for excellence in building and maintaining a strong safety management system and safety culture at the 90th Annual General Meeting of the E&USA. The award is the E&USA's highest distinction for excellence in safety.

2005 Sarnia Lambton Environmental Association's (SLEA) President's Award
Awarded to Lambton Generating Station for "continued outstanding environmental performance through the installation of SCR equipment."

National Hydropower Association 2005 Hydro Achievement Award
Awarded to R.H. Saunders GS the in the category of Technological Solutions. The award recognized the station's Concrete and Generating Equipment Rehabilitation.

2004 United Way of Ajax-Pickering Uxbridge Community Support Award
Awarded to Pickering Nuclear for outstanding contributions to the community.

2004 Outstanding Stewardship of America's Rivers Awards
Awarded to R.H. Saunders GS from the National Hydro Power Association for work on the Madawaska River Projects.

Canadian Mental Health Association Work and Well Being Award
Awarded to Lambton GS. The award is given to an organization that has demonstrated the promotion on mental health in the workplace and co-operation between the employer, employee and communities agencies within the workplace.

Friends of the Second Marsh Director's Award for Service
The award was given in recognition of the many partnership activities between the environment organization and Darlington Nuclear, including Yellowfish Road, rain barrel distribution, education outreach, and enhancement efforts on the marsh itself.

2003 Business Excellence Award
Awarded to Pickering Nuclear by the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade for its community support and contribution to the local economy.

Clarington Board of Trade Business of the Year Award
Awarded to Darlington Nuclear generating station recognizing their "dedication not only to the community, but to their employees as well."

Municipality of Clarington's 2002 Corporate Citizen of the Year Award.
Awarded to Darlington Nuclear for its ongoing community commitment. OPG was cited for its role in "supporting many local educational, environmental and cultural initiatives in Clarington and the Region of Durham." This was the first time the award was given to a previous winner. OPG won the 2001 Corporate Citizenship of the Year Award as well.

Outstanding Stewardship of America's Rivers Award
Awarded to OPG for excellence in habitat enhancement, environmental restoration, recreational improvement, mitigation and fish passage. The award was specifically given for OPG's environmental contribution to the Madawaska River Hydroelectric Project on the Madawaska River, Ontario. This was the third consecutive time OPG has won this award.
